Hello .

I wish to compare linux OS's with system hardware.

Simply i ask if i have
CPU 2 cores
RAM 512 or 1GB
vSwap 512 or 1GB
Bandwidth between 512 to 1TB
Connection 100mbps
1x IPv4

Then which linux Os is best for it
Archlinux ... ?
Ubuntu 32bit
Ubuntu 64bit
Debian 32bit
Debian 64bit
Centos 32bit
Centos 64bit

Even Explain the versions of these OS's
Archlinux and CentOS 32 is perfect for small or low end VPSs.
i think maybe 32bit arc is best for your spec like ubuntu/debian 32bit, centos is good as well
Well for me Cent OS 32-64 best.. easy to understand Tongue.. but others no Sad
Ubuntu if you want to use newest packages but if its you dont need to test experimental versions of packages use CentOS.
Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial or Debian 8.7 Jessie is recommended if you're new to the sysadmin stuff, to be honest, CentOS is the hardest OS to learn if you're new, it lacks very needed features but that's just my opinion.
i personally like fedora 64. how about the opinions of others about fedora?
Ubuntu 32 bit is best for this specifications because it uses very less memory, so good for this choice.
Debian 64 is good for gaming servers because i tried unbuntu they were giving some errors of .SO extensions cant be loaded ect
Go for a 32bit version if you get 512MB RAM vps if you get at least 1GB then go for a 64bit operating system. My personal favorite server OS is Ubuntu.

It works perfectly with Virtualmin web hosting control panel. You get to update both Operating system and control panel files with just a one button click. it always report all updates available. Also they patch all bugs and vulnerabilities fast unlike CentOS or Debian Linux. A perfect combination for my needs.
