I like the vBulliten forum software but that is too much costly. So i use Mybb and SMF.
My vote for this pole is : vBulliten

i have used Mybb, Phpbb and vBulletin. among them Mybb is my choice

vBulliten is the best but little hard xd
XenForo good but you have to learn how to edit etc..
SMF/Phpbb/MyBB: the best for me - easy to use/understand

vBulliten is great but it's insanely expensive these days. MyBB is getting better. All it need is good responsive themes and more free plugins.

You get the thing good if you pay for it, so it is simple that the best premium software is Invision Power Board.

for gaming i like smf because its had nice themes and its free while mybb is also good but they dont have good themes

I have nearly 10 years old SMF forum. Installation or moving would be little hard but once you are done it works great with very little work. But what I like about myBB is Plugins are so easy to install without messing core files. They do have same thing on SMF 2 too. I wonder what good stuff will be in SMF 3.

Paid software is better since you get better support and vBulletin like software works great. But if you know what you are doing even free software can work great too.

I like XenForo the most, MyBB may be good but It looks and feels very simplistic and vintage which I absolutely hate everytime, Xenforo has latest and smooth themes with responsive designs which look amazing, I also beleive It supports more things than MyBB

Mybb is awesome for forums since its gives us ability to set private boards and more features

Yes, it also contains many code features that can allow forum users to utilise. I usually like using [shadow] for example xD
