I too would recommend you to get one from OVH as they're strong. OVH is a better option if you have a good budget. Speaking about the "pricey" tag, it actually worth it because of the DDoS protection they provide.
But if you are planning to use them for starting your own hosting company, think again! I know a hosting company facing tons of issues with OVH because of the multiple issues caused by their clients and making them lose hundreds of euros. But if you are running a single server for a big project like a big game or something(I guess so because of your previous behavior), OVH is still a better stand. Still, if you are tight on budget, think of SYS(which is OVH too but a little cheaper than original with specs you want).
