Wam I'thinking about domain buying for my site. If I want good site I should buy domain with good name. I currently have .gq domain. But it's freenom and they can sometimes take your domain.
My site name is HTPC. Unfortunately most of the popular domains are occupied. There is no chance to buy htpc.com, .pl, .biz, .info or .net. There are new TLD domain such as .club, .media, .site, .tech, .top. Some of them are already taken.
What do you think will be a good domain?
1. .one (htpc.one)
2. .club (htpc.club)
3. .tech (htpc.tech)

Domain .tech is good and cheap to buy, but renewal ~40$ is not cheap for free hobby site. Domains .club and .one are more expensive in buying but cheaper to renewal.
Please help me to choose a good domain.

If I were you, I'd buy a .club domain. I've certain reasons for it. If you've a group or a forum, .club is the best choice.
And just FYI, .club isn't expensive to but. Get it from NameCheap, it's worth only $1.5 for registration and around $15 for renewal. Tell you what, it's a great deal bro.
Nevermind, whether you use it it not - the fact remains that NameCheap is the best. Excellent cooperative staff and 24x7 chat support. My experience is awesome with them till date. So I recommend that.

I started my personal site with .info domain and that has been going good so far. It was cheap & reliable for me if I want to represent my hobbies and my work to public.
However, it is now turned into my official website but still, .info is a good start.
Namecheap is recommended for it.
If you want to build a community I suggest you choose .club
If you want to choose .tech is perfect for you who want to develop software, security analyzers or web developers
Or xyz to create a blog that is very helpful for you!
For xyz domain itself only 1 $ and the extend the domain is 12 $ on Namecheap
Be careful when buying domain. Some domain are "special" and needs a proper setting up, meanwhile others are dangerous for your project.
Moreover check the review about the registrar that are you going to use.
TLDs such as ".dev", requires a SSL certificate to work, so you MUST implement a forwarding of 80 traffic into 443 port.
Regarding ".biz", ".xyz", ".pl", ".club", ".tk" TLDs are flagged to be dangerous due to the popularity of these TLD on malicious software.
Nowadays ".io" seems to be very popular, so I suggest it. Unfortunately is has been taken for your name.
Maybe a ".us" TLD? It is very cheap.
".pl" it's domain for my country, but it's taken. Most good damain with this name is taken.
What do you think about ".icu" and ".one" domain.
Is it good idea to get ".us" or other nationality domain name for polish or international site?
".tech" is now free with GitHub education discount, and they are also offering ".me" and name.com any TLD's free for one year + SSL. All of these are free for 1 year then you can either renew. Which will be cheap at NameCheap for sure
