Education or Work? This can be controversial topic on my view. I know we need education to know basics and ethics of life. Without Education you cannot be moral. You won't be able to understand what's bad or good. It can result in crime if you don't get proper education.

What do you give priority in? Education or Work?


We all hope to get better job or work and even own a business after a better education. What would you do if you are continuing your study and you have to leave the education if you get a job you expected? Would you choose to Work and leave Education?

In some poor countries or where there are low employment opportunity, even though you get a higher education, it would be quite meaningless if you struggle to get a job. You would have to migrate abroad. For some people, it would be impossible to own a business because they simply can't afford it. I have witnessed this on my country.

For me, I would get education where I can understand my capability and do a work/job/business where I can fulfill my needs and needs of my family. There are examples like Bill gates who is a college drop out but is the richest man on this planet Earth.

I don't think you have to graduate and get a certificate to prove what you are or what you can do. You do it by yourself.

I choose for education first, basically, it's back to our country, if your country can give you work with your degree, then you should use education. But if your country don't, you maybe should choose work.

Ok back to topic, my country can give me a work, basically I want to be a doctor, and a doctor is very important for all of us and my country very need a doctor, then I will choose education, because after I get out from university, I have a work.

That all depends on how rich you are.

If you have difficulty to afford the education cost, then work should be the better choice.

But if you are not that poor, education should be more important, generally speaking.

Looks like you have to stick with your education to fulfil your dream and need of your country. What about you get other handsome job in replace? Would you quit being a doctor?

Your view about the subject looks quite practical to me. And it is indeed money matters.

education ? go enjoy your life.. you have one life not twice..
and you have to build your familly.. education won't bring you money.. but works do..
so work is needed now adays..

I agree with you YOuNeS_Dz. Work = Money. Money is everything. It can literally buy anything may be love too. All you need in love is money unless you go live in jungle with your loved ones. Education is somehow important but not that much.

Agree, but with education, you can get more work that open for you. Like a pilot, they should done their school and have to pay about $70000 USD, but when they are captain, they can even make more than they paid.

Another example, if you're a doctor (one of my dreams, I want to be a pilot too, and have my private plane), it's taking 6 years of college with much of money you should pay, but if you succeed and you get bunch of money, then why not build a hospital, and you're the owner, and you just should control the hospital, and money will come to you easily. Then you can take the rest of your life with your family.

I know this topic is kinda hard to answer, basically it's about our country, and our family. I found people that their parents say that they should go make a start-up, but the other say go to college for better life. Really, it's back to yourself.

What type of handsome job you're talking about? I love to be a doctor, but I want to be a pilot too, and to be a doctor/pilot, you should take an education for it. And ya.

I mean any Desk job that pays real good. Would you join that instead of being a doctor?

To be honest, I don't really think about the salary.
Why I want to be a doctor is because I love to help people out there, my country still help many poor people there, so I just want to be a volunteer to be a doctor for all of them.

But, if it's helping people with a good salary, I will think about it, is it really helping people? If no, then I will stay with my doctoral career.

I give priority both because the two of them are important . But... now I'm thinking that education is more impporttant because without education we cannot get a job(work).   So , be educated to get a work.
