Browser alternatives - Comodo Dragon?
#1
I've been using Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer for a long while now.  Firefox is my main browser with Google Chrome being used at the same time for deep searches that don't require logins.

Tonight I was Googling for an alternative browser and came across Comodo Dragon for the first time.  Are there any users out there of Comodo Dragon and can you recommend the use of it?  Only concern I have before I download it is that it doesn't automatically make itself the default browser like Opera did when I downloaded it a couple or more years ago.  I just want to try out Comodo Dragon to see whether it is as fast and as secure as they say it is.  But before I do that I'd like to hear feedback from users in the Forum.  Is anyone using it and how does it compare with the main browsers?

I wouldn't use them.

They also track everything in the browser. And the company itself is pretty crappy. (They attempted to block LE from launching by filing trademarks)

I hate scary installations, so thanks for warning me @perryoo11. I've been through some of those. Strangely enough one was Opera - it was not scary but irritating as it didn't ask me whether it could become my default browser, it just took everything over. I just saw this splash of red O's all over my desktop. Darn cheek .... haha .... It's probably a good browser, but I let go of it immediately.

According to the Comodo Website it's been round for a while. The company started in 1998. When I checked around for reviews looked like it's a bit aggressive with popups.  Confirms @perryoo11's concerns.

Never heard about this type of browser, i would rather stick to Mozilla Firefox, they are already improving a lot and so much superior than other browsers.

I tried Opera but didn't like it.  What I disliked the most is that it doesn't give you a choice in making Opera the primary browser.  That didn't work for me when I only wanted to try it out.  Not so keen on the red O's all over my desktop.  It's huge too.  Much prefer my Firefox with Google Chrome so far.  However always open to try out brand new browsers too.  I'm always hopeful of developers who have gone the extra mile to compete with the current main browsers.
