My favorite is Mybb because it is easy to use and plugins are awesome. I recommend to use it.
Mybb admin panel is easy then other forum softwares. Its themes are awesome and it looks nice. We can find many Plugins of Mybb in its community.

AcmlmBoard is a good niche software although it is useless for anything productive and hasn't been worked on since SquidEmpress was banned from developing it (because of some really childish thing one of the developers has against her).
MyBB is the best forum software in my opinion though, it's community driven, good looking by default, easily customisable, and light. It was recommended to me by a friend at school, and I then used it in practice for my now-killed site. SMF does have advantages over it in some areas, and phpBB sucks 100% in my opinion...

Never tried MyBB, Since I started making forums I have been using always SMF. I think SMF is easy for beginners and MyBB is very easy with Professionals
. Still its a thought. But SMF is like a old thing now and MyBB is damn always New looking with all tabs and others. Most game server owners in VCMP use SMF for their Server Forums the most I have seen. By the way which script does this forum run on ? Custom?

phpBB has its own user base but in oldest free and most popular is only MyBB here is comparison of current boards softwares https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Internet_forum_software and i still in favor of MyBB as the most popular forum
