Type in google "How to range ban ip *Your os*" And go to the tutorial you think its good! You can PM me if u want more security ![]() RE: Secure Your VPS SSH - perry - 11-22-2017 want it 100% secured! shutdown -h now best I came up with ![]() --- basic steps: check where you are connecting your vps!!!!! connect to a proxy server before connecting to your vps. so they only capture you connect to an existing secured "proxy". keep the system up to date use sha keys instead of plain password use a tight firewall and close all by default and open THAT IS NEEDED. check on what kind software u want to use on previous security leaks and how frequently they happen does it happen too much? then try an alternative. Well Shut down process better i think xD ![]() ![]() anyways, thanks for your guide i'll try to do this. RE: Secure Your VPS SSH - Honey - 11-29-2017 Thanks for the tutorial but honestly I'm too lazy to change my ports and all that because the website I own isn't really that big xD RE: Secure Your VPS SSH - deanhills - 04-02-2018 I like to use fail2ban security with VestaCP. I could probably do more for security, but having fail2ban I think is OK for me. My Websites aren't very high profile and I don't think I'm putting a lot of attention on them. Probably also important to be with a host that has very high standards and strict rules of behaviour, in other words the kind of host hackers stay away from. RE: Secure Your VPS SSH - chanalku91 - 04-03-2018 I'm sure it will not manage to secure your SSH VPS from hacker attacks !! Because hackers use Port Attack program !! The function is to find ports from 1 to complete! My suggestion use ssh password that is hard to guess !! For example a combination of capital letters and symbols that make your vps safer than hacker attacks Pass: R3fL1y [example] STL V.2.1 + ProtectorAcc V.1.0 RE: Secure Your VPS SSH - humanpuff69 - 04-21-2018 (04-03-2018, 05:55 AM)chanalku91 Wrote: I'm sure it will not manage to secure your SSH VPS from hacker attacks !! for that just change the ssh port to something else . port 22 is the default and most hacker use it RE: Secure Your VPS SSH - chanalku91 - 04-21-2018 (04-21-2018, 03:07 AM)humanpuff69 Wrote: for that just change the ssh port to something else . port 22 is the default and most hacker use it some of them are looking for the port also it is not safe! they should change the port as well to ensure the security and password must be made with 100% security rate RE: Secure Your VPS SSH - Deep Saha - 04-21-2018 change port and deactivate root and create a separate root account. |
