RE: Suggestion to make VPS Holder's List Public - deanhills - 02-12-2019

@tiwil Dynamo is not in favour of a second VPS holders list, so since the one that we're working on in Admin includes all of the IP numbers, he asked me to come up with an other idea. I can't see any option but a second list, and have created one that is available presently for public viewing in the Giveaways Forum. Note it's subject to approval by @Dynamo, but if he gives his approval I'll update the list after each Giveaway and before the next Giveaway. Shouldn't be a big job to do.

Just heard: @Dynamo has a great idea for an automatic VPS holder's list. Watch this space as it's in process of happening.

You want to know what? That page is what I suggested before.
A current VPS holders list! You did that very fast. I should say thank you about that.

But, you want to think about @xdude suggestion?

Having past VPS holders will also good tho. For example, if someone new came to forum and wanted to get a VPS, they will not only see specs, they can also look on past VPS holders. This is like a testimonial but in shorter way (just look how many past VPS holders) instead of read all review. Since we all know, good VPS will attract much users.

But the members that are non-holders have the same color as VPS holders. I should think to make a special color for VPS holders and for members that are non holders. Just in mine opinion.

Nope, it's different. VPS holders marked in bold while non-VPS holders marked in normal style.
Also, VPS holders have color light blue while non-VPS holders have normal blue color.

Let me take an example:
VPS holders: @tiwil
Non-VPS holders: @demon

It may look fast @tiwil but it was hard work and most of all extra work.  @Dynamos finding a way to update it automatically so it's no extra work. As previously explained my mission is to reduce the tasks of the Giveaway Manager to make it easy to do for future managers, which means no extra tasks.  So the Forum can have a long life.  Dynamo specifically is the one who has to do extra work when the Giveaway Manager doesn't have the time to do all of the tasks, so that is why he is even more focused than I am to reduce the tasks of the Giveaway Manager to the minimum.

Anyway, you also suggested that members can volunteer their time to do the project, so since all of the VPS Holder info is public information available in the Giveaway Forum, maybe you or xdude or any one else who has time available and feel this is an essential project, can work through the past Giveaways from the present.  It should be very easy to do it month by month backwards. You can then post it up under VPS reviews as a VPS Holder History Review and update it when you have time available.
