That is just that. better than nothing may be. But not more than that. newer intel boards dont support it and you cant even do that with amd . A petition in this case is like a request. we could go and petition MS to open source MS windows core code for whatever reason that resonates with our ideas. But the company is not obliged to do anything if that does not align with their business model. So this petition is just pointless. yes, we can say that at least some guys are doing something. but that something is nothing. They have perfectly valid reasons to keep those firmwares hidden there. Like performance optimization to forced firmware update in case of critical issues for non tech savvy people and a thousand other reasons. So there is no reason to repeat the same two line info you already mentioned in your first post. |
