Massive backlinking is considered as spam by Google. If you add 1000 backlinks in a single day then it wouldn't look natural. Also you need to be careful about anchor text of those links. If all back links have same anchor text then it won't look good either. So you need to have mix of all type of links. Related, not so related, do follow, no follow and all kinds of anchor texts. RE: Content vs Backlinks in SEO - MattHogan - 01-30-2017 Both Content and Back-links plays a important role in making a website listed on the top of search results by having good seo score. While content comes under On Page Optimisation and Back-links comes under Off-Page optimisation. RE: Content vs Backlinks in SEO - Nova - 01-31-2017 Content works very well on low compititive keywords. Sometimes you can rank even without any backlinks. But this needs some serious keyword research. RE: Content vs Backlinks in SEO - maroon93 - 05-30-2017 (01-31-2017, 01:53 AM)Nova Wrote: Content works very well on low compititive keywords. I think back-links slowly loosing their place in Google search Algorithm. Exact Anchor text back-links lost their place while ago. Now you should have only about 20% of less of those and plenty of unrelated links. RE: Content vs Backlinks in SEO - meetdilip - 06-04-2017 Social bookmarking is the new trend. It is a method which makes use of social media shares and popularity of links within social media. Considering how popular social media is, that is a decent way to access a link's popularity. RE: Content vs Backlinks in SEO - xdude - 06-05-2017 Social bookmarking is an out dated method. Social Media sharing is the trend which works these days. As long as you have a creative titles there is a good chance your posts go viral on sites like Facebook. But this is one traffic method which you need to work on nonstop unlike with Google traffic. You have to keep sharing new content or your traffic goes down. |
