Are you talking about only a PC? most of back world countries are still using UPS for whole home appliances. even in my country. and i also use it because a major lack or electricity.

Yup, where talking about using with PC but UPS has a big help also with appliances so you can turn it off just to be safe without damaging your appliances boards.
