RE: Notpad++ or Atom - KGIII - 11-24-2018 I haven't used Windows in a very long time, but I do use a program called Notepadqq, a snap application for Linux. But, back in my Windows days, there was an app called "Crimson Editor." That was fantastic for editing and it also had a beautiful find/replace system that'd let you even search recursively for text in folders. It's still available, last time I checked. It's no longer developed and nobody ever ported it to Linux. Hmm... I think it's in C or C++ (the source is available). Maybe I'll take a stab at it when I get bored this winter. Here, to be a 'big helper' I went and dug out the URL for you - it's still available, like I figured: http://www.crimsoneditor.com/ |
