RE: The Last Movie You Watched - Sn1F3rt - 09-30-2020 Had a couple hours free last evening, and so I hooked on to the movie "The Grudge". It's an English horror movie released earlier this year, in January 2020. It's one of the components of the Grudge Universe, iirc, 2004 and 2016. Though it can't be called a sequel as it's way different from the other and totally unrelated. It's a good one, and scary for sure. I'd rate it a 8/10. Recommended to everyone, worth your time. ![]() RE: The Last Movie You Watched - terayaar07 - 09-30-2020 again wacthing the deadpdool series ! and completed deadpool now goin to watch deadpool2 tommorow ! love it and ryan reynold op! RE: The Last Movie You Watched - xdude - 09-30-2020 Sometimes you skip a movie thinkings it's just nothing worth bothering but late find out you are totally wrong. Today I watched this movie called Get Smart (2008), a comedy. Very good comedy. Nothing unique or special but enjoyable. Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway and Dwayne Johnson stars in this and Carell doing a great job as main charactor. Also Anne Hathaway is one of my favorite actresses. There's plot twist at end and that was pretty good too. It's not an Oscar quality movie but I don't think producers would care. The move had done well financially, earning $230 million on an $80 million budget. RE: The Last Movie You Watched - LightDestory - 09-30-2020 I have watched "Splice" a sci-fi film by Vincenzo Natali. This film is likely average, nothing special. The SFX are nice but nothing compared to other studios. The plot is about the dilemma about "genetic engignering". The ending is a bit shocking. As always I leave here the plot from wikipedia: Quote:Genetic engineers Clive Nicoli and Elsa Kast hope to achieve fame by splicing animal DNA to create hybrids for medical use at the company N.E.R.D. (Nucleic Exchange Research and Development). Their work previously yielded Fred, a dog-sized vermiform creature intended as a mate for their female specimen, Ginger. After successfully mating them, Clive and Elsa plan to create a human-animal hybrid that could revolutionize science. Their employers Joan Chorot of N.E.R.D. and William Barlow forbid them from doing this. Instead, they are to find and extract proteins used for commercial drug production from Fred and Ginger. Clive and Elsa, however, disobey their superiors and pursue their own agenda in secret, developing a viable prepubescent female creature. Although they had planned to terminate the hybrid before it reached full term, Elsa persuades Clive to let it live. They discover that she is aging at a vastly accelerated rate. Elsa discovers that the creature is undergoing mental development such as that of a young human child. Elsa names the creature "Dren" after the creature spells out NERD, having seen the letters on Elsa's shirt. RE: The Last Movie You Watched - tiwil - 10-06-2020 I believe this is not a movie but a series. I just watched The Gifted, a Thailand series, from GMMTV. They upload all of their series video in YouTube, which surprise me how they deliver the series. I think they are hoping for the adsense from YouTube instead of selling it to third party. I think it's a nice from them. Anyway, this series is about a school where there is some Gifted students with unique ability. They're being specialized by their school since they may help their school to increase school's budget (which probably get corrupted by their headmaster? ![]() RE: The Last Movie You Watched - sagher - 10-09-2020 Yesterday i watched " Night School" releases in 2018. a comedy movie. however not a family movie because of many rated scenes. but i enjoy it. nice suggestion for members. also available in languages. RE: The Last Movie You Watched - Mashiro - 10-10-2020 Rise of the Footsoldier / 2007 / Ireland / IMDb The life of career criminal Carlton Leach. It's an ok movie about hooligans going a whole different route and turning into criminals based on a real now former criminal person. The movie is a series of movies as several other parts were released after the first movie (sequals and prequals). Berlin Calling / 2008 / Germany / IMDb "A man tours clubs around the globe with his manager and girlfriend. On the eve of their largest album release he is admitted to a psychiatric clinic after overdosing at a gig." Based on the life of Paul Kalkbrenner a very famous German Techno DJ who is still active til today. 9th Company / 2005 / Russia / IMDb "The film is based on a true story of the 9th company during the Soviet invasion in Afghanistan in the 1980's. Young Soviet Army recruits are sent from a boot camp into the middle of the war in Afghanistan. The action is not like a boot camp at all. It is very bloody and dirty. The 9th company is defending the hill 3234. They are hopelessly calling for help." A well known Russian movie that I missed out for so long. RE: The Last Movie You Watched - sagher - 10-15-2020 Yesterday night i watched " Spencer Confidential" releases 2020. nice movie of ex cop. imdb rating is about 6/10. i found it in hindi/urdu dubbed few days ago. Mark acting is awesome. but it is much changed to previous Spencer series.. RE: The Last Movie You Watched - tryp4vps - 10-15-2020 Just got to watch a movie called "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood" yesterday. Not only I like Marielle Heller so much, but the story of Lloyd with his father also impressed me a lot. A very relaxing movie indeed. What a beautiful day to watch it. ![]() RE: The Last Movie You Watched - xdude - 10-15-2020 Watched The Hustle (2019). It's a comedy and quite decent movie. Anne Hathaway is one of my favorite Hollywood actresses. The movie haven't got good ratings but can't blame is since it doesn't have anything unique. Nothing special there. Rebel Wilson does her usual screamings and Hathaway plays the usual elegant lady role. nothing much to say about the movie. I would give it 6/10. |
