Anyone use Gnome Desktop ? They seem to use their own version of Nautilus replacing the pre installed one on Ubuntu. Your boot screen also get changed to a black variant.

In the past I loved the old Gnome. But I really hate the new in the last 5-6 years and I dislike Ubuntu's Unity too.
I prefer Mate (fork of Gnome classic) or LX DE.

I have an issue with it. The black boot screen is pretty annoying. Is it possible to get old purple boot screen back ?

Yesterday I look after this new version of Gnome desktop and I found a really interesting and useful feature:
it can automatically control the color temperature of the screen, so it can help your eyes to do not get tired.
