Unable to control iptrafic - sagher - 08-07-2017

hello everyone. from this month i am facing large number of unwanted B/W on my VPS. with makes my vps loaded and B/W also goes to 50% in just 8 Days. i try to stop all running servers and web pages. but still B/W is growing. what can i do for it?
i also use ufw port control rules. and fail2ban but nothing change happens ..

i think you get ddosed . the bandwith counter probably count the data that is sent and/or received to your vps ip address . try contacting the admins so they can contact the vps sponsor / provider

try monitoring your traffic . here how to do it
1.turn off any listening server like game server , web server etc
2.install tcptrack using "apt-get install tcptrack" if you use redhat/centos use "yum install tcptrack" instead
3.hopefully you can see al the traffic that sent to you and probably you can locate the ddoser

I don't think so it was an serious attack which not encounterable. i try to workout with ntop and iptraf programs. and try to monitor which input makes high value. and i stop it manually by blocking rules. and it's works for me right now. b/w controlled this time. but i still monitor it. let's see what happened.

Stop your vps wait a couple minutes and look what happens.

I wish to do but as you know more then one week goes but vps-1 CP is not active. shown offline. but once i try to stop all process which i started but some thing went wrong as i guess. just like my vps or RAM or B/W are shared. linked with unknown IPs which i have no concern.

Try sending a message to our admins, they can assist you with your issue also backup your files so incase your files are safe.
