Sudo Debian 9 Strech - Vuluts - 05-14-2018

Hello @everyone!
Well basically I was running ./configure command via normal user (without Sudo privilege) and it gives me a permission error. Now I add Sudo to that user to gain privileges so run the command but when using sudo ./configure command it gives me a warning message "It is not recommended to run this as root, CTRL + C to cancel" and it counts for 60 seconds before it continue, same thing editing a .conf file using nano without sudo it gives me a permission error.

Originaly I was using Debian 8 Jessie before and ./configure command can run via normal user (without Sudo privilege), same thing as nano command to edit my .conf file without sudo.

Any inputs why Debian 9 Strech gives me this kind of error / warnings? or is it an added security in Debian 9?

Its just annoying and I'm not used to it and not familiarize well. Should I switch back to Debian 8?

What do you think?

I think you should switch back to Debian 8. Some of my programs don't work in newer versions of Ubuntu so I stick with the old one.

I'm was getting used to it so I think I should stick with Debian 9 updated version, it's just a added security with Debian 9.
