Signuature Length Limit - Zorono - 05-19-2018

Hello everybody, it 'd be great if you @Administrators increased the length limit of the Signuature to 350±50.

because its too hard to add at least an Post Counter Image inside the backwards of Host4Fun...

As i see, you are not a vps holder so no need for this now.
Admins can disable the limits but ofc they have a reason for this limits

i would rather suggest that the signature length shall depend on the amount of user credits.

For example, new users will not be able to add any signature. This will avoid possible abuses. The more the credits, the longer the signature length will be allowed.

I am with you. So it's likely, user with greater point is trusted for anyone right?
But I don't really find signature is really important to have tho.

It is based on the assumption that new users do not know much about the forum rules, and so they should not be allowed to carry any signature.

Users gain credits when they post more. They will understand more about the forum rules during the process, and thus should be given more freedom in using their signature space.

I don't think it as required, we have 350 characters and can put most relevant and important things on the signature. Surely there will be limits for this auto generated things. Try to strip maximum unwanted characters from the signature such as www. etc. Use abbreviations and short names more. The needs will never stop, but limit signs to important things.

Agree with you, but it might be abused to get alot of Credits&Post Counts.... Sad

  1. We have a limit of 250 Characters only not 350.

I won't consider it an abuse. Extra posts will still be moderated as usual.

And it may provide extra incentive for some users to post more than 20 posts each month. Not a bad thing for forum growth.

Of course we will still need an upper signature length limit. The new limit could be something like 350±50 as you suggested. Bottom line is we should not make it an default for all users, at least not for new users.
