Yes, I think that this VPS would be perfect for an OwnCloud server.

Maybe even a Yunohost server with mail and ownCloud!
BTW, Yunohost is: http://yunohost.org.
Although for public ownCloud the disk space may be low since ownCloud uses ~1GB for installation and the OS is ~512M-2GB.

Thanks for mention Youhost server. I didn't know that a ready to use webserver operating system even exist. But I don't think that you could use it as a mail server because it is not allowed by default.

Yes, I know it can't be used as a mailserver, there's a way to prevent installation of the mail module. Yunohost is not the only prepackaged WS-OS, there's also cozy.io, a Docker based alternative. Both are made by French developers.
