Anyone here use Virtualmin ? - xdude - 11-09-2015 I haven been trying to install Virtualmin for a week now. But It's been first time I use it and Already having few problems. 01) First I tried to installed with CentOS 6.7. Installation was fine and everything works but I need mysql 5.5 for several projects so when I tried to find a way to upgrade I kinda hit a brick wall. I was told in Support forum that there is noway to get this done since Virtualmin since it uses what comes with OS. Only way to get it sorted is using a OS which already has Mysql 5.5. I was told to try CentOS 7.
RE: Anyone here use Virtualmin ? - Littlemaster - 11-09-2015 You can upgrade to mysql 5.5 in Cent OS with webtatic. Have a look at https://webtatic.com/packages/php56/ RE: Anyone here use Virtualmin ? - xdude - 11-09-2015 (11-09-2015, 07:29 AM)Littlemaster Wrote: You can upgrade to mysql 5.5 in Cent OS with webtatic. That I know and tried but the problem is once I do that Virtualmin won't setup as it should be. RE: Anyone here use Virtualmin ? - Littlemaster - 11-09-2015 Please provide exact error message and the steps you have taken to install Virtualmin. RE: Anyone here use Virtualmin ? - xdude - 11-09-2015 This is the error I get with Mailman Executing /etc/init.d/mailman start .. * Site list for mailman missing (looking for list named 'mailman'). * Please create it; until then, mailman will refuse to start. This is not the same server today I tried to install it in vps with 512MB and Ubuntu 14.04. PS : Okey I got that sorted out. Looks like we don't need that service anymore. RE: Anyone here use Virtualmin ? - Littlemaster - 11-10-2015 Quote:Site list for mailman missingCreate the list by finding the newlist path. # locate newlist | grep -v template You will get newlist path, mostly /usr/local/mailman/bin/newlist.Run the below command to create the list. # /usr/local/mailman/bin/newlist mailman Follow following source for complete steps. RE: Anyone here use Virtualmin ? - Hugop - 11-10-2015 I have not used Virtualmin but if you can't find a fix here or need it installed as fast as possible, I recommend you to use their forum: https://www.virtualmin.com/forums RE: Anyone here use Virtualmin ? - corrida - 11-11-2015 I dont use it, but I think they're making many updates, so I actually might go look into it. Hopefully it will be an exciting OS!! Hopefully it will be an exciting OS!! Virtualmin is not an OS, it's a web control panel. I really like Virtualmin, but only with the BS based Authentic theme (built in). |
