How to get more members to join post4vps? - deanhills - 03-06-2019 I'm hoping that members can come up with some ideas of how we can get more new members to join post4vps? Do you for example know of discussion forums or discord type chat groups, maybe facebook or any of the other social media groups where you can let people know about post4vps.com? If you do, here is some good wording and images for getting the message out there (Dynamo is the author): Quote: RE: How to get more members to join post4vps? - tryp4vps - 03-06-2019 I would suggest reducing the monthly post requirement from 20 to 15. This should make joining this post4vps forum a bit more attractive. And don't forget preventing our current members from leaving is (at least) equally important. If someone has decided to leave, how can you force them to stay? There also has to be at least some professional TOS standard otherwise there are other users who will leave as they may feel the Forum doesn't maintain a good standard. RE: How to get more members to join post4vps? - tiwil - 03-06-2019 I think it will be hard to find new users. Just take a look, I don't really know where to promote free VPS. There is some VPS hunters on Facebook, but they don't want to post, just want to get VPS for free. So it's a little bit hard for P4V to get more new members. Since we're free users, so no way have a paid ads lol. We should think on different way. But what is that? There has to be a way. Key has to be that most people are on their phones these days. And Facebook. I checked through an online tutorial for how to create a business page on Facebook the other day. I personally hate Facebook, but it has the potential for huge traffic. So if one could create an activity that generates traffic for Facebook that would make this financially viable, maybe it's something to explore, except I haven't seen it done yet. RE: How to get more members to join post4vps? - Manal - 03-06-2019 I would suggest blog posting. No one would do it for free. So if any of our forum members have any blog, they can do a blog post. Now depending upon the ranking factors of that blog, the P4V administrator would award that particular user by giving them points. The blog in which the article about P4V is being posted must have criteria in order to be eligible for the reward. This would avoid free spam blog creation just for sake of backlinks and popularity. There can be several more restrictions and allowance can be done according to the administrative decision. I'm not even speaking about grammar. Just being able to choose a topic and communicate it effectively is not something every one can do. I've done some blogging and even for me it involves lots of head scratching. I think it has to be much more simple than that. Like getting a friend to sign up, and a friend of a friend, etc. RE: How to get more members to join post4vps? - tiwil - 03-07-2019 I got an idea from Manal's one, not too same lol. Why not we activate the "referral" programee? We have the referral users on signup page right? Nah, we can use that function, just have some similar referral like the other. If people are joining in with your username and they're active in first 2 month, you can get reward. But, if they gone in the other month, reward will be retracted. For example, I invite my friend, he's very active in the first month, I will get a reward. But in second month, he didn't come again, my reward get retracted by Admin. This can be really hard work for Admin, but I think it's pretty nice to have. Since if someone don't want to invite, they OK, and if they want to invite, they get reward. This idea should be running alongside other idea too, since referral programee is a little bit hard to be completed. RE: How to get more members to join post4vps? - xdude - 03-07-2019 Well I think there are drill spells time to time in hosting industry. Plus these days less and less providers / sponsors allowing game servers. I think most of free vps users those who want to run game servers. There are few places I know we can get flood of users but I don't want want to post in those places because know it would wreck havoc here. For good example is BHW. Owner tried it and it didn't work..... Different forums might have different situations. If 15 did not work on Gigarocket, try a lower value. The very fundamental problem is that this post4host requirement is not attractive to most people. When VPS prices keep falling, more people will consider it is not worth making 20 quality posts per month for a VPS. Yes we cannot force current users to stay if they decide to leave. We cannot force new signups to stay either. But we should make the post requirement more attractive to encourage users staying here. |
