Make money from packet streaming - Honey - 07-23-2019
Hi,
So I recently found out about this service called "PacketStream", apparently they use your upload speeds to seed other users, and for the amount of data shared they pay you, Its it 10 cents per GB of data shared, and the payout is at 5$, so you'd need to seed 50GB to get to the payout, I'd try it but I sadly dont have a good upload speed, so I figured I'd share it here. From my research, the service is not a scam, albeit the earning rate is indeed slow.

That is, can we earn money by sharing your own speed? This site is not open to me. Please check if the link is correct?
How is the revenue from this site? Dollar? Bitcoin ?? Other digital currencies?

Oh lol, my brain when I see "Upload speed" is using a VPS! Haha!
Pretty much interesting actually, my VPS can do upload speed in high speed, should not be really a problem.
The real problem actually, does the provider allow it? Hahhaha.

Not something I could do with my home internet which is limited to 95GB per month. Plus 10 cent per GB Not something worth unless you have so many free GB to spare. I don't think VPS provider would this type of steps either.

I would be at most interested in how exactly they use the upload speed. Could be easily abused if it is used in some botnet network, VPN network (i.e. like HOLA VPN) or other malicious ways.
Most likely no provide will tolerate this unless you have truely unlimited bandwith and dedicated port speed that you can always use.

Yes, by doing this, we give our IP Internet to thousands of other Internet users.
And that's a very dangerous thing, both for our personal system and the information in it and for ourselves.

I agree. Great caution is called for in this instance. Please be careful. Luckily though I think there aren't many members who'd be able to participate. If they are as poor as I am, their speeds wouldn't allow them to participate.
I like any ideas about making money though @Honey so if you find any legitimate safe ones, please share those with us.
I'm going to close this thread for now.
