VPS 6 ~ BladeNode ~ Review - chanalku91 - 04-01-2020
Hi I'm Reflyansyah, last January I was given VPS 6 by Post4Vps after I stopped being the holder of VPS 18!
And after getting VPS 6 I did a lot of experiments and projects that were only designated for fun activities! But now I started looking for new ideas with VPS 6 after the community that I lived in was destroyed by a team that was paid to report groups on Facebook! Now some projects are run on VPS 6 but the source code is not stored in this VPS, the reason is to keep the source code safe! Instead of reading this history, let's just review this VPS! *CMIIW About VPS providers BladeNode is a hosting service provider that provides services such as WEB Hosting, VPS Hosting, and DEDICATED Hosting BladeNode also have a support team that stays 24/7 on-site to help you if you have a problem with their premium service! For the price of the service itself is quite competitive with large hosting providers such as Vultr and Digital Ocean, so why not try their services? This VPS has experienced downtime of more than 6 hours which certainly makes me have to wait for the VPS to turn on again to test a script that I made! 2. For performance, this VPS has never slowed down! 3. Port speed is very stable! Notes ---------------------------- Some information was updated on 3 / June / 2020 RE: VPS 6 ~ BladeNode ~ Review - Sn1F3rt - 04-01-2020 Exactly review @chanalku91. Forget about the April fool's day, I'm serious. This review is quite elaborate and informative. Honestly, I liked the way you organised your stuff before putting it down in this thread. Great job! Also, glad to see that my benchmarking script is functioning as expected. You might have gotten a better idea of your VPS's performance as the speedtest is done from places in all the continents (except Antarctica of course). I'm giving this thread a 4-star and that's bcuz I'd have loved to see an official Speedtest.net benchmark done on the VPS. I recommended using the official cli application - https://speedtest.net/apps/cli - instead of the Python script (as the results are more accurate). Consider doing it about 4-5 times and taking the average and you'll get a good idea of your VPS's performance. Just update the OP with the speedtest results and I'll be more than happy to change my rating to a perfect 5-star. Best of luck with the VPS! I would be happy to accept this feedback and update the results at 3 am Western Indonesia Time! And just like the other reviews, I also like the formatting of yours (I’ve mentioned this several times before, but just in case anyone missed it: it’s almost impossible to use the post formatting tools on mobile). I really like the CPU frequency, seems to be quite powerful regardless of the fact that you only get a single core. However, I did notice that the disk speeds aren’t all that impressive. Might not be a huge deal, but definitely something noticeable. And no, this isn’t an April fool haha. Made me laugh when when you mentioned it lol. I want to reveal the fact that I wrote all these reviews on a mobile device, I only need software like QuickEditor, Termius and Github to write all of this, then copy the results to post4vps RE: VPS 6 ~ BladeNode ~ Review - ikk157 - 04-01-2020 (04-01-2020, 11:20 AM)chanalku91 Wrote: I want to reveal the fact that I wrote all these reviews on a mobile device, I only need software like QuickEditor, Termius and Github to write all of this, then copy the results to post4vps No way! I never knew you could do that! Won’t you be limited doing it that way since obviously the markdown in these services might not be the same as the one the forum uses? I, myself, use Termius as well. But may I know what you used GitHub for? Is it to get the scripts? If that’s the case, it’s nothing different to what I’ve been doing. However, the QuickEditor part is completely different. I use Github to make all the contents of this review, and Quick Editor to correct all typing errors like I misplaced code [b] in the Connection section and it's already been fixed! I did not immediately write it on the forum for fear of losing data due to a broken internet connection! Thank you for the information. You do have a point with losing all of what you’ve typed because of a sudden disconnection or accidental refresh. Had that happen to me many times and it’s insanely frustrating. This is why I write my reviews on my iPhone’s built-in notes app. As for Quick Editor, I unfortunately can’t find the app on the AppStore. Which leads me to believe that it’s either android only, or simply not available in the US store. Guess i’ll have to find an alternative that works just as well if not better. Anyways let’s not get out of the topic of the review itself haha. RE: VPS 6 ~ BladeNode ~ Review - phoenixwolf - 04-03-2020 I want to thank you for the very detailed review. I want to address a few things. The downtime was caused by our data center wanting to do an upgrade on a switch that they never told me that they were going to do. We have struggled with this data center about this and I believe we now have this resolved. Next, I want to update anyone who might use VPS 6 in the future. Our disk speeds have been horrible and I know that. To resolve this we have upgraded the Node01 that VPS 6 was on to a fully pure SSD. This should make a huge difference in performance. I hope whoever uses VPS 6 will also feel it. We had a problem last night for example and turnaround in answering the ticket was almost immediate. This is much appreciated. |
