VPS 7 - ReadiDedis - VPS Review - sAmI - 06-14-2020 Hello there, A few days back i received a replacement VPS as there were many issues going on with the VPS 10. Here is my review for the amazing VPS 7! I have been using this for 4 days now and i can say the speed and the performance of the VPS is outstanding, The network speed and the SSD are just too good. Sadly, I'm currently using it for my personal Voice Server and the ping and latency is absolutely solid! Specs : Disk Space : 25GB SSD RAM : 1GB Virtualization : KVM Bandwidth : Unmetered Location : Locations are multiple like US: AT LA NY but i chose Germany Provided by : ReadiDedis Benchmark : System Info ----------- Processor : AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor CPU Cores : 1 @ 3593.250 MHz Memory : 992 MiB Swap : 0 MiB Uptime : 4 days, 14:18, OS : Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS Arch : x86_64 (64 Bit) Kernel : 4.4.0-21-generic System Info ----------- Processor : AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor CPU Cores : 1 @ 3593.250 MHz Memory : 992 MiB Swap : 0 MiB Uptime : 4 days, 14:18, OS : Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS Arch : x86_64 (64 Bit) Kernel : 4.4.0-21-generic Code: Speedtest (IPv4 only) Disk Speed : Code: Buffered Sequential Write Speed Direct : Code: /dev/vda1: Cached : Code: /dev/vda1: Geek Bench : Code: 1260 Usage/Pros/Cons : My Usage is usually hosting a TeamSpeak3 Server and hosting a small RankSystem for my TeamSpeak3 Server and some music bots. The pros of the VPS are the performance of the VPS is pretty solid, I have seen much much more worse performance in paid one, The connection speed is impressive and as promised. The VPS is available in multiple locations, I personally chose Germany and i usually get 110MS which is pretty decent for me. I haven't encountered anytype of issue right now with the VPS, I'm pretty happy with the VPS, The specs are decent, CPU is Ryzen 3700x! I would like to thanks ReadiDedis and Post4VPS for this amazing VPS! I hope you like my review as it is my first review, If there are any mistakes or is there something missing please do let me know! Regards, RE: VPS 7 - ReadiDedis - VPS Review - Honey - 07-22-2020 Woah, that CPU is really solid. If the RAM offered was 3-4 GB I am sure this VPS would've been a beast for CPU intensive tasks. Also, May I ask which Geekbench version u performed on the vps? RE: VPS 7 - ReadiDedis - VPS Review - sAmI - 07-23-2020 Yes, Indeed the CPU is really amazing and solid, The Uptime and performance is amazingly solid till now, It's almost a month now! I performed GeekBench5 RE: VPS 7 - ReadiDedis - VPS Review - Honey - 07-25-2020 (07-23-2020, 03:24 PM)sAmI Wrote: Yes, Indeed the CPU is really amazing and solid, The Uptime and performance is amazingly solid till now, It's almost a month now! Ah I see! That's a really really impressive score then. I personally have the VPS 16 which is an amazing vps too but Its CPU is really dated considering today's standards and it is only able to perform around 200 on Geekbench 5's Single core test, which clearly this CPU blows out of the water! RE: VPS 7 - ReadiDedis - VPS Review - LightDestory - 07-26-2020 It is a very nice VPS, the CPU is a Ryzen 3700X! The VPS uses 1 core and 1GB of RAM, it is a bit unbalanced to put together a powerful core with that much ram, it could cause bottleneck, but it all depends on your usage. I/O and network speed are amazing. Why did you choose this ubuntu edition? Isn't it a bit old? Did you tune the VPS to get the most from its resources? For example, I use a VPS sponsored NanoKVM with the same specs (1 core 1GB of RAM) on which I installed Alpine Linux to get the most of RAM available for my use: Alpine Linux runs on 40-80MB of RAM! Think about it, if you can! RE: VPS 7 - ReadiDedis - VPS Review - Sn1F3rt - 07-26-2020 I agree with @LightDestory .. Ryzen is quite rare on this forum amongst the sponsored VPSes. It's really amazing to see that ReadyDedis is sponsoring a VPS with such a powerful CPU. Besides amazing review @sAmI. It's quite detailed and I like the presentation in particular. Talking about the CPU again, this VPS has a perfect use case in CPU intensive processes like Discord bots and framework like Django and Flask, which do not require much RAM as such. ![]() But yeah, even on a 1 GB RAM VPS, I'd rather use CentOS. It's lightweight, stable and moreover I'm quite used to it though I've used other OS too. All my VPSes run CentOS and I'm having fabulous performance from each one! ![]() Regards, RE: VPS 7 - ReadiDedis - VPS Review - fChk - 04-27-2021 I'm interested in the disk I/O performance of the Post4VPS VPSs with NVMe SSD-backed storage (ie VPS-7, VPS-13, VPS-14.) Thus can you please run the following commands on your VPS and share the output with us: Code: # Your block device details Finally, I'm also interested in the results of the fio Disk Speed Tests (Mixed R/W 50/50), which is included in the "Yet-Another-Bench-Script" available on github: https://github.com/masonr/yet-another-bench-script To avoid running all the tests, you can restrict it to the disk speed with the ig flags: Code: ./yabs.sh -ig Thanks!
