I saw this but only second month is free. So I don't see what you are seeing?
Also with Contabo their sign up process is tedious. They want your ID and are quite finicky with personal details. When I signed up 2 years ago, they let me do the purchase and only after I paid let me know I had to provide ID and proof of address before they will give me the VPS. I was not impressed.

Well, second month being free is quite cool, it may be "only" but still you get a whole month's budget off instead of like 10% discount every month and then you land up pretty much at the same price.
Thing is Contabo VPSes are really cool, I've a friend who has loooots of VPSes bought from them, and he's given me one too. It's a solid machine and even with the network port speed capped, it's performance is remarkable. And moreever, you cannot match that price anywhere, it's damn cheap. Also, I don't believe ID and proof of address are that big an issue when you're sharing it with a trusted provider.

Gigarocket has been on a Contabo VPS for almost 2 years. There have been many challenges, and the latest ones have been drags on the system. I'm almost certain it must be all of the security filters that create those drags. It's better now, but at one time there were plenty of tickets submitted to Contabo. Now for excellent I'd go for Hetzner instead.
For me personally I'm trying to stay away from Europe and it's dictatorial hosting rules. US also has its own rules, but I feel less of a minion with US hosts than I feel viz a viz European hosts.

I have to agree on this with @deanhills. Giving an one month trial is not a BlackFriday deals. You can get trials all the time. They should have given a discount from their regular price.

Agreed with you but still contabo is more preferable and most using vps provider in my country. i wish contabo team is part of our community p4vps. The location of Contabo "Germany"is the main reason to buy it. and lowest ping on exchanging servers. specially IPTV.

That is definitely interesting feedback @sagher. However, can you provide evidence for it? I don't want users to read your "review" and then get a Contabo VPS without doing their research first. For example, these are the reviews I found:
