Do you look for colour picker which offers variants of styles ? Do you pay more for a theme that has integrated colour picker ? Personally, I haven't seen much themes with a colour picker myself. They are kind of premium.

Colour picker for users or just in admin control panel?
If for users its cool add for site customization in my opinion.

I will leave it to users to decide which colour scheme they want. It is hard to please all with a single colour scheme. When you have the option, why not give the options to users to decide ?

I agree its good idea. Like youtube should have option to change color white for day and black for night without any plugins.

For mybb themes, I have not seen any free theme which came with colorpicker, though I had started creating a Free mybb theme which include a picker which can pick any possible hex color..
And finished it some days ago.
I thought that I would reveal it when it would be approved by mybb forum's free theme forum(where I had posted last week).

It is a nice feature, not necessary but is nice to get the style of the forum more to your liking. I hope to see your theme soon, Dynamo. Is it so hard to implement a color picker in a free theme? No, I would not pay for it, but I might implement it myself though.

Its actually not hard if you have some knowledge about jquery.
