i would like to see the source or some support for that claim.

when it comes to static content, nginx is the king. 

litespeed has lsapi which works like php-fpm by reusing php processes. the main reason behind its performance.

i never saw any benchmark claiming twice the performance of nginx when it comes to static files. i want to see for myself how it can be possible.
