> threads Views (not updated any more) and
> Quality Credits (not reset at the end of the day)

And, may be, there are more stuff that I'm not paying attention to that has the same issue.. But the admin should know about!

There must be some script that's not running as scheduled any more that's behind the issues..

Last Saturday, during the downtime, I had a feeling that Post4VPS.com was suffering from a high CPU usage that made the web server timing out resulting in Cloudflare generating 522 Errors. May be it's that script's cron job that's to blame for that...
Anyway, I'm posting this as a heads-up!

I was once thinking, but why can't we help Post4VPS with a switch from MyBB to Xenforo, well my opinion is that MyBB is a bit old-fashioned, Xenforo has a very nice design and I want to help Post4VPS to switch to Xenforo. But I'm curious what you think of it and if they can do the same in terms of plugins, I think the overview also shines better. They already have a number of themes that have been in use for years but a real major update has not been released since 2015, but maybe it would be nice if we can help <dvz_me_placeholder id="0" /> with some nice new ideas for Post4VPS, of course I am available to do things to be able to fix and upgrade certain things which might be nice. What do you think, will we continue to use MyBB or will we help Post4VPS invest in XenForo, the more people help with this, the better it is for the Admins to add new things. For people who agree to Xenforo, with a few dollars we can help certain people, I am willing to give a few tens of dollars for Post4VPS for this. I hope you also have many great ideas.

I have an affiliate link with a company and can provide the information via PM to avoid an infraction by posting the company's information on the forum until we have a discussion. If it is decided that affiliate linking of any nature is prohibited, I can rework this section of the tutorial to just talk about the options as a whole and will communicate this section with the Admins and Mods just to make sure that everything is on the up and up.

Hi,
I was lurking around in this (Suggestions and Feedback) forum when a recent thread caught my eye. I know this has been a controversial topic for a while now. I didn't reply to that thread since my suggestion is a little different from the thread's topic.

One of the reasons why VPS providers give VPS is that they want to help newcomers learn how it is managed and properly run. Also, they want to encourage developers and webmasters who can't afford server hosting. The problems with this method is that eventually the VPS holder may become inactive or the server is not being used to its capacity. I know the monthly post count exists to tackle this issue. Although, what if the holders could post a thread about the project they are working on which is hosted on the VPS. They could update it every month giving a summary of the changes on their website or code. The reason behind this is they can show their gratitude for the VPS provider other than the usual leaving a review. In this way, they get 1 more post to their monthly post count. Maybe, even a special section for this purpose.

This is just a suggestion for the VPS holders. Let me know if you have anything to add to this idea or if I missed out on something.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post.

So the quess i have for admins who does a really great job at managing stuff and giveaways at the forums and everything at the forum i have a question

How do admins count every VPS owner posts and manage them, Do you guys have any Custom-Made Plugin for counting the posts which makes the job easier for you
How much time does it usually takes for counting every VPS Owner Posts, Since there are many VPS Owner as we can see in the list.
I'm sure that it's a really great job for admins doing that! I would really give a huge appreciation to admins for doing such an amazing job!

This might be a controversial suggestion as the 20-posts policy is strictly implemented here.

I was thinking if it is possible to give someone dispensation automatically if someone forget to make 5 or lower posts when the month end (so they have done 15 or more posts posted). The uncompleted number will be brought to next month so they will need to make more than 20 posts e.g. 22 posts if he/she forgot to do 2 posts at previous month.

Take an example: https://post4vps.com/Thread-VPS-Holder-M...or-October. OldMeister forgot to do 4 of his posts for October and his VPS will be taken down if he did forgot (but somehow he still hold VPS holders role, applied again?). From my point of view, it's like a waste of 16 posts created and time spent for October.

I think this suggestion may only be applied to a holder which already done 15 posts (or 17?) or more but didn't finish at 20 posts. Remainder post(s) should be made maximum next month where holder didn't finish, and if they don't finish at 20 posts + their remainder, VPS will be taken down.
It isn't possible to create multiple variant to be applied on special events?

Santa-cloudy!
I don't know much of MyBB but editing the "header" module should be easy: just check for specific dates or range of date and load a specific logo

Some of you may have noticed a change in the Gaming Section above. Previously it was listed under Geek World. But problem for me was that because of it being a sub-forum not all of the gaming sub-topics were easy to notice.

So I made the Gaming Section into its own separate category and all of the sub-forums are now forums in their own right. I'm hoping that they will now be easier to see and may motivate game enthusiasts to post more.

I also added a separate Gaming Section Forum on reviews or feedback of using a VPS for a Games Server. The hope is of course to share experiences of using Post4VPS VPSs as Games Servers, but VPSs outside Post4VPS may also be good. Provided it's not for advertising. Advertising VPSs has its own section and will be removed if posted here. This section is supposed to be about genuine feedback and recommendations of your experiences with using a VPS for a Games Server.

I already have created a post about Supporting Sponsors but I thought creating this topic as a suggestion because of recent developments at Post4VPS. My suggestion is to Make Google Review or Facebook Review a requirement for having a VPS here. Especially for those who unable to provide a proper link-back. But I think it should go for all VPS holders.

There are practical limitations and downsides of this link back rule. These links won't have any value unless it's from a site which regularly updated. Random links don't help sites anymore. So this kind of links won't help sponsor much anyway. It's a headache for VPS holders too if the person doesn't have a website. Also if you can't provide a link then the sponsor gets very little in return for what he gives us.

Personally I think Google Reviews or Facebook Reviews are the best solutions for this. We all use either of these services or both. So it's quite easy to do it. These ratings and reviews are very valuable for providers, So much more than a back-link. New providers will able to build-up real testimonials and reviews this way which would increase their reputation and development of the brand name.

This is not something hard for VPS holders either. All you have to do is use the server for a month or so then write a positive review at Google or Facebook or both. These product reviews would give our sponsors more value than anything we offer right now.

I know none of us to want to do extra work but I think sponsors deserve it. Also, this might help us to attract more sponsors too. After all, they would get genuine product reviews from real people who use their service.
