For example, let's speak about Cyberpunk 2077. This game was surrounded by a HUGE hype but in fact has been an horrible launch. I am not going to blame the gamers because CD Projekt used gamers' hype to BOOST its sellings.

Nowadays we can see the results:

• Players are unhappy about the out-come of the Cyberpunk 2077. We put too much hype into this game, a lot of announced features has been removed and the game has been released in a un-finished state because gamers WANTED IT NOW.
  
• CD Projekt Red destroyed its reputation. CD Red received a lot of positives review with their previous game, The Witcher 3, but with CP 2077 they are getting fired from everywhere: SONY, GAME MAGAZINES, INVESTORS... They wanted to get the money before completing the game or they needed the money before to complete the game. Who knows. Nothing has been exposed YET.
  
• Developers are TIRED and STRESSED. They have to support multiple platforms and patch everyone of them differently. Moreover the crunching is getting worsen and worsen.
  

Just think about early 2000, game development wasn't that stressful. But nowadays we gamers are just a branch of idiots asking for incredible experience without thinking about the effort needed to make it.

Counter Strike 1.6/GO : 
I have been playing Counter-Strike since i was i guess 6 years old and playing since then till now. I had over 12-13K Hours in 1.6, I played that much at that time. I started my competitive journey through joining onliine TeamSpeak Servers and playing for local teams, Then made my own team in 2015 and won over a 600-700 matches and losing 30-40. 1.6 was the most amazing time in my life and even it plays a huge role in learning programming and many stuff, I started to code many plugins for my own servers. I started playing Global-Offensive in 2018 and playing till now for my own team which is LosersGaming, I have reached the highest level at MatchMaking and 3rd Party service FACEIT. Have 4500 Hours in it atm!

Dota 2 : Played DOTA 2 for 6 months, And have played for rank and at a decent level, But after few patches had to leave, since then the game wasn't really the GAME.

Can i hear anything from other people!

Developer Psyonix has announced that Rocket League (The popular Esports title) will be going free to play and be removed from Steam Store and be available on Epic Game Store.

Now the biggest factor would be their method of earning? They explain that they'll be earning money through cosmetic upgrades in the game. (Also cross platform progression & competitive ranks).

They still haven't revealed everything and have asked to stay tuned for further releases, however they did confirm that players who already had bought the title on Steam would get to keep it, + the people who had bought the paid version will get the DLC content for free.


This transition is really interesting as recently CS:GO (Another popular Esports title) went Free to play, and so far their concurrent player counts has only increased after that. (Crossing 1 Million concurrent players and almost crossing Dota 2), perhaps free to play is the ideal business move in the upcoming Future? Only time will tell!


What do you guys think about this? Personally Rocket league was an interesting title for me but I never really got to buy it so I guess this would be the chance for me to give it a try.
