Dot.tk Domains
#31
@sagher

You can have a long term reliability only from top level domains. Those sub-domains and free domain extension don't give you ownership of the domain name. So if one day they decide to take your domain back or close the shop then you will be in a big trouble. This is why a TLD is important since it will be yours as long as you renew the domain name.

@sagher How about this way... register a domain with dot.tk and then if you are not really familiar with manual configuration to redirecting your IP to your domain, just install VESTACP in your VPS it has DNS to point your IP to your domain. Checkout their documentation https://vestacp.com/docs/#how-to-setup-v...ameservers

In that case try to get a eu.org sub domain. Those are more reliable and they have good reputation unlike Freenom. They seen to have take bit time to approve though. I requested a sub domain today and waiting for it.

They generally approves domains(3rd level) within 36 hours max.

@TrK

Do you have any of those 3rd level sub domains from eu.org ? Or anyone else here have them ? Doesn't look like they approve those in 36 hours. I have been waiting for about one week and there are others who have been waiting for more than 36 hours. I wonder if they still giving these or not.

I honestly don't know why they are taking that much time to approve a domain last i got a domain from them about one and a half year ago and it was approved within 36 hours. Maybe there i something up ahead with them since then.
