Free Hosting Control Panel
#1
I think everyone who use free vps use free hosting control panels. There are like 2 dozen panels out there but there are like top 5 panels which used by majority.

What are the panels you have used so far and which panels do you like and why do you like those panels ?

My favorite panel is Kloxo-MR which is one of the best free panels out there in IMO. It's a fork of infamous Kloxo panel but lot better and more secure than that one. User interface is very friendly and little bit like cPanel. Also it's pretty easy to install. Another thing is their support forum is very active.

I have used CentOS Hosting panel too. This panel looks really promising. It's really easy to install and another panel which look bit like cPanel. A really nice GUI. But downside is it's still bit lagging and also buggy. Biggest problem is their support forum is very terrible. Really hard to get a response there.

VestaCP panel is also another good one. A solid panel which is easy to use and also easy to install. Support forum is bit of problem since most techs are Russians.

Hello. Firstly I'd like to apologise for inactive cause of school and class, you know that I can't open a lot. Secondly what panels do you want? Do you want like Webmin or hosting multiple sites on the same VPS? For me I don't need panels, I setup multiple sites on the VPS manually using htaccess. But if you wanna panel you can try CyberPanel, ISPConfig, Plesk, Ajenti, Floxlor, ISPmanager. These panels are the top and the panels I suggest you to check them out. I hope if you liked one of them you tell us your opinion about it to make a background for people who are in weird about the panel they should install.

So tell us why do you think those are top panels and how are they better than those other panels like Virtualmin, VestaCP, Kloxo-MR etc. If have used these panels tell us what are the pros and cons of these.

Use one which you have used before like VestaCP i used it several times, If you know how to use it so i would prefer it for you as it will be easy in installation & in being used.

Actually I just tried Virtualmin and it was some advanced so I didn't like it and the ones I mentions above seems cool on their interface and I also asked a friend using Floxlor and he said that it's so cool, if you want to host your sites on the same VPS so I suggest you CyverPanel or Floxlor and tell me your opinion.

for me i use pure terminal for managing my website

i tried to install a panel before and mostly it doesnt work , doesnt feel great , crash , bugs , etc and basically im uncomfortable . and because of that i switched to just use pure terminal and using terminal is actually great

for file management you can use ftp and terminal itself . i mostly use terminal and only use ftp for upload/download a file

and for mysql setting i use phpmyadmin . it is much easier using phpmyadmin but you can use mysql console if you are pro enough

i try isp config before and i dont know how the hell to use it . the interface is kinda cryptic . and because of that i uninstalled it and install vesta cp . afterthat it error because of the mysql bug that i post before

so now im hosting my site with only terminal most of the time
Terminal

@humanpuff69

Terminal is fine if you just use several domains. But if you have several dozen domain names to host then you do need a control panel. Same goes if you have clients.
