What name will they give for Android O ? Will Google run a poll like last time to name it ? Nougat made a lot of headlines due to that. Free publicity, right ?
I like to think that they listen to us while naming Android. In my place Android is dead popular.

I don't really care how do they call. They can call it anything as long as they make it well. I think this not the question that they should ask from the users.
They should enable direct security updates to 3rd manufacturer users and not just Nexus and Pixel users.

Bad part is no OEM provides updates to later versions. Most Android makers just want to sell devices and forget about supporting them further. You buy a phone, you are most likely going to live with the version of Android it already has.

The Tech Advisor team could come up with Oreo, Orange, Oatcake and Oh! . i think Oreo is the good one Big Grin It would be a perfect match were it not for the nature of the Oreo itself. As someone who lives in a part of the world that only got Oreos relatively recently, I can't help being underwhelmed whenever I eat one.

They would go for poll, if you ask me. That is a good marketing strategy. There will lot of news and coverage related to it.

Most probably Android Oreo, but not sure why they are giving those type of names though they look so funny with Android.

Since Kitkat, everyone likes to bet on names of commercial products. I don't see anything wrong with it either. Since Google has accepted to do it with Kitkat, they could do it later as well.
Thanks  @Post4VPS
