Aha!  Thanks for the feedback and link.  Now that is very interesting.  Wonder how Nokia 7 compares to all the other Nokias.  Concept of making a smart phone exclusive to a continent sounds like a good idea.

Nokia used to rock, But don't know what's the current status of them? Are they really good or bad?
No one knows what the future holds, that's why its potential is infinite

If you check serious reviews Nokia is making a HUGE effort to compete with the big names in Smart Phones.  At the moment there is criticism of its cameras as althoug the specs are very impressive and competitive, the end product is not as good.  It seems to be dark due to low color contrast taken in dark environments.  There is also criticism about the battery taking longer to charge than other models, an overly large use of resources and time to take to load.  Where it shines apparently is its LCD which is using different technology and really looks good. Nokia doesn't skimp with the materials it uses to build the phones.  Price is less than the other major flaship models, and it is currently very successfully and aggressively marketed here in South Africa.  People are very happy with the latest Nokias. Most are aiming for the Nokia 5 as it is obviously much cheaper, but has most of what Nokia 8 has.  Not on the same level, but enough to be affordable for middle of the range shoppers.

Hmm, It seems Nokia is getting a good start and coming back again. But I am worried about its marketing as I have never seen one ad of them in here, And I think they need to start flagship that isn't microsoft's windows.

Actually they're not on Microsoft Windows - which if they had been, they'd probably have made a serious error.  They're on Android.  Here are the platform specs for Nokia 8:

Quote:OS - Android 7.1.1 (Nougat), upgradable to Android 8.1 (Oreo)
Chipset - Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835
CPU - Octa-core (4x2.5 GHz Kryo & 4x1.8 GHz Kryo)
GPU - Adreno 540

Nokia always made mistakes in the past, this why they lost their number one position.
They kept Symbian for touchscreen phones although that OS wasn't originally made for this purpose.
And then when there was too late they switched for Windows only where there were not enough apps.
Samsung and Apple were the real winners because they switched to the capacitive touch screen smart phones in the earliest time.

Right.  Looks as though Nokia is working hard at getting its act together though.  However it's probably not as successful as it thought it was going to be.  Battery takes too long to charge.  Photos don't have enough contrast.  Pages take too long to load.  It will have to do much more to overcome it's previous "worst phone brand" image.

Actually Nokia had the best camera phones: Nokia 808 Pureview and Nokia Lumia 1020.
Just the operating systems were bad choices.

If you check the reviews, the up to date Nokia Models 5, 6 and 8 cameras have very impressive specs, however have a down side to them as the contrast is not that good in the photos.  The screen of the phone is above average good with great contrast, just the photos that are taken with the cameras especially in low light are below quality expected from the camera.  Hopefully it will be fixed when Nokia gets to model 9.

Apple.
Let's advertise you features that other phones had 3 years ago as NEW, and sell you with a $500 boost on the last phone.
WOW! Wireless charging!
WOW! Unlock your phone with your face!
WOW! A dual camera that can do optical zoom!
OMG! Such new features!
