really? i guess you are the only one you agree with 1st idea after @youssefbasha but anyway it your opinion.
but still i think first idea is unnecessary but we can make it more better.

What if, a plugin locked 1 month old thread automatically if someone else want to reply then he can but it ain't appear unless staff approve it and about replying after your own reply there is old idea which is merged both replies or we can add timer max 10min not 24 hours obviously.

First suggestion seems not practical in my opinion. We don't have sales threads except for those hosting promotion topics. Don't topics rarely get bumped by their OP's within 24 hours. There is no point of locking those so providers would make new topics everytime they want to post a promotion.

About second one. I don't know if it will work or not. It might give forum a negative effect and lots of spam. We often see newbies accuse everything as scam as long as it doesn't their work.

I think both suggestions are targeted to let VPS holders more space to post.
Regarding the bump option, what about some user bumping all old threads and making the thread sorting very confusing.
The 2nd option may seem good, but it may also give negative reputation to some sites which will result in hatred between those sites and the community leading to revenge as happened with mywot system.

Thank you  Sweet

@xdude & @Littlemaster hmm what reading your opinion about 2nd idea, yeah it will effect negative on our community but we can make this board unvisitable for guest and newbies unless they reached 10 posts (just example we can more 15 etc)

Other then i don't have problem with this new board. It will used to expose those fake sites/companies.

I definitely agree with this - the second suggestion may have the appearance of "good" but it may have negative consequences that won't be good for Post4VPS as it may make us vulnerable for attacks in addition to spam.  People may also submit dubious complaints to watchdog authorities that the staff will have to sort out.

Regarding the first idea - it's a good one - but probably not needed.  "Bumping" just happens spontaneously when there is a real need for bumping the topic.  If no one is responding, maybe the topic is no longer valid.

oh well if someone want to make revenge posts or rank making 10-15 spam posts is nothing. Plus There are general board add off topic board where they can post those if anyone interested. I mean how many threads about scams  or related stuff you have seen so far ? I think its' more practical to have a dedicated board for web hosting related discussions. After all post4vps is a web hosting forum and we  put all those topics in general board along with everything else.

Plus people going to make only posts like Hey guys got of scam by this site or that site. Don't use it. They won't provide any evidence or anything practical. I have seen this in many other forums. I have seen people claim post4vps is a scam site. Just because they couldn't get a vps.

So, therefore – free VPS is possible, in theory. However, it’s very often a data mining operation, a straightforward scam or an attempt to build a fake community by promising its users freebies.

ha. we are not build to harvest data.
and still complaining about the posts. giving people a vps without any requirements aks for abusers. we need to keep track if the vps is still being used.

Yep. Like I said in other thread he doesn't want to send people to join post4vps and get a vps but use those affiliate trials. He is not pointing out best free vps options as to him are trials which would end in days if not in couple of weeks. Guy hasn't even bothered to explain mechanism behind post for vps.

Anyway its an good example for what I was trying to say.
