@OldMeister There are lots of programming language, but you only need to choose which are needed base on your needs, ex. if you are planning to develop a website you need to learn HTML, PHP, CSS and other language that can be used for a website making. i think op should search in google. also wkipedia would be a great start. im also sure there are many books on evolution of programming languages. they are very likely to have a comprehensive list of them.
