That is quite cheap for 8$ a month for Windows VPS, but I am not sure if 1GB RAM would be enough.
Thank you VPSlices and Post4VPS for your beautiful VPS!

I'm not sure why people are so crazy about having their servers run on windows when there a plenty of open source alternatives that are, quite frankly, better. Linux is easier to maintain and is much more versatile in my opinion. The only reason for buying a copy of windows server that I can think of off the top of my head is the better interface, which isn't that important in a server OS. Efficiency is much more necessary.

@SeductiveWalrus you wont blaim those Windows VPS user firstly the reason is lack of knowledge using Linux environment, as we all know mostly of users are into windows due to user friendly, two due to software compatibilty.

Software compatibility is a pretty fair reason to use Windows, but what I don't get is why a person would value user friendliness in a SERVER OS over efficiency. Seriously, it took me a good 3 days to fully educate myself on Linux server administration and maintenance. Also, the user interface on the newer versions of Windows is pretty messy in my opinion.

I'm with you on this @SeductiveWalrus.  I can't understand the logic of a Windows VPS when Linux is much safer and also more standard use with VPSs.  Not many hosts offer Windows for that reason too. With the wealth of information including reams of tutorials that are available and great Forums to support one like post4vps, one could easily start a VPS with very little Linux knowledge.  If on top of it one doesn't even know how to manage a Windows VPS it makes even less sense.  I'd far rather use the Windows License fee for a VPS cPanel license for more effortless management of a VPS.  Or if a very good Windows like panel is so important, why not go for a very good reseller account with cpanel instead?

Furthermore, Windows in itself requires a lot of resources and I read somewhere one needs at least 8GB RAM to work comfortably with Windows on a VPS, so I'd say it would also be a huge waste of valuable resources, particularly if one doesn't have much money to spend on big specifications of VPSs, to manage a VPS with Windows.

If it gets to dedicated servers however for me that is a slightly different matter.  I would still prefer Linux for the secure environment it offers, and cPanel would still be my first choice depending on what the server will be used for.  However, the management of a dedicated server or a very large VPS would be big enough for me to justify the expense and learning curve of a Windows Server License. It wouldn't be my choice, but it would make greater sense to me than using it with a smaller VPS.

Back to topic. I find 7.99 US$ expensive for what it offers compared with what is available elsewhere. I'd listen to our two senior members @Lampard and @xdude and wait until Black Friday for a really cheap Windows VPS. I'd shoot for high specs then though. Nothing as irritating when Windows drags.

Thank you to Post4VPS and VirMach for my awesome VPS 9!

@SeductiveWalrus Most probably due to "TIME" to learn and familiarize with it they are too lazy too learn such things that may improve their capabilties.

Well, you can definitely begin with 1 GB plan. Once your business grows, you can upgrade the resource of your VPS OR upgrade to next plan anytime. This is upgrade will be very easy. Your all data will remain intact in this process.

cheap enough for windows vps . what type of license it uses . trial or licensed . for this price point it probably use trial but technically trial is legal anyway . you can reset it or just reinstall the os everytime the trial reseted if you subscribed the vps long enough
