How to get hotel booking system to see my desktop computer as a mobile phone?

Thanks for the feedback HR.  That is actually exactly what the message said.  However I was being overcautious, I was concerned I wouldn't get connected again.

Anyway, I got lucky today.  The marketing guy from the Hotel offered to do the booking for me manually in the UAE - so I get the better rate and I'll pay in advance when I get there.  I'm still going to install Virtualbox though.  I've used it with Windows 8.1 as it came preloaded with the Lenovo laptop a few years back and I really liked to work with Virtualbox very much.

When I get to the UAE I'll ask the guy there why there is a bigger discount for phones than for desktops.  I'm beginning to get the feeling desktops are on their way out or better put, phones are becoming a bigger tool for doing business than desktops or even laptops are.

Hi, use NOX emulator, it will help you, set a suitable phone model on it and start booking, I will recommend NOX better than bluestack on this, matter, I use WhatsApp on NOX.

Thank you  Sweet

@deanhills

Did you just try changing the user agent to a mobile browser?

I don't feel the hotel website is so clever to check your cpu architecture of your computer system. They may just check your user agent string from your browser to detect whether you come from a desktop or a mobile.

Thanks @tryp4vps.  The Hotel Booking Website is very clever.  I tried to simulate an iphone with Google Chrome, as one can do it with the developer tools.  It was OK when I first accessed the Website, but as soon as I started to click on the links for providing dates, the browser reverted to desktop mode.  Initially I thought it was on my side, but I'm sure it must be on the Hotel side.

I'm very curious why there's a preference for a smart phone.  I doubt, even if I had a smart phone that I'd want to place a booking through the phone.  I feel much more secure with my desktop than I feel with a phone.

First of all iphone only uses safari rendering engine whereas google chrome uses chromium engine . Also google chrome responsive mode for faking user agent doesnt work great either i have same problem even on normal webaite like google . I reccomend trying using user agent changer extension and resize your window size instead . I only use the chrome responsive for debugging my responsive html script .for faking user agent like that proper extension work much better
