I've changed my mind. I've applied for VPS 5. Reason being improved speed and love of Hetzner. Germany is definitely a better location for me. I also would like to have a control panel so I can reload the OS without having to submit a support request. I'm currently unable to do it with VPS 9.

What got me to apply tonight was a VestaCP disaster that happened to me. After the last automatic VestaCP update my DNS Named Server corrupted. After trying almost everything to fix the problem, the only solution was to remove VestaCP and re-install it from scratch. So since I will have to start all of my websites from scratch any way, I'm more motivated to make a change.

but i think i am slightly inclined towards higher ram and storage. so if i could choose, i would go for vps 9 or vps 4. even though they are openvz and stuck on older kernel. old does not mean bad. they are battle-tested.

kvm is good if you want windows though. but i dunno. may be by nesting, one could run windows in qemu over openvz too. though im sure that will be sluggish and bad.

wooow. that will be great man ! i hope all our sponsors eventually get a control panel. cause it is not very userfriendly to have to submit a support ticket everytime one has to change os or something.

They're talking about VPS 9, there is no VPS control panel, and they also want yours, as yours have the control panel, and VPS 5 is also good in specs and location.

Apologies.    Maybe I wrote too much, but it's exactly what I said.  VPS 5 provides a hosting panel whereas VPS 9 doesn't.  It's not my main consideration though.  My main consideration is location and the fact that the VPS is from Hetzner.  That makes a huge difference speed wise as well as performance wise.  I've had a shared hosting account at another host since 2014 on a VPS from Hetzner and I know the quality of the Hetzner Datacenter is excellent. 

Finally, yesterday my VPS 9 VestaCP Panel DNS Server corrupted after an automatic update.  When my VestaCP had to be reinstalled, I'd have preferred to reload the OS first, which I was unable to do because there was no panel in VPS 9.  It did work out in the end however as VestaCP shows you how to force the installation, and if I'd been more patient I could have asked an Admin to help, but it would have been much more convenient to be able to reload the OS myself.  The whole upheaval of reinstalling the VestaCP and then having to load all of my domains and websites from scratch made me feel ready for applying for VPS 5 that comes with a Panel and has a location that is more ideal for the geographic area I live in.

I don't think chances @OldMeister has for VPS5 is very promising, with or without Windows templates. There are many others who with better score are completing for this one. If you look at the scores others have he is probably in bottom of the list. I think I have mentioned him several times to improve is score by posting regularly but it seems he only post around when there is a give away going on. These days getting a good free vps is very hard and getting a good KVM with Windows is even harder. There would be always a strong competition for vps like that and you need to maintain and very high score to have any chance at all.

I requested vps 5 before but i recently changed my mind because it only have 1 vcore whereas my vps 9 have twice of that , i know this from @Manal post abo7t shadow hosting vps

Except vcore count it is a great vps
