That works for me. I have 2FA enabled on Discord and it has not asked me verifying my e-mail again since then.
Ignis said the same when I mentioned it in a freevps Discord discussion with him.  Google is doing that too.  Trying to get everyone to use their phones with 2FA and very easy to block those who aren't or push them through needless captcha hoops or e-mail verifications.  Irony is that 2FA has proven to be not that much more "secure" - just a popular way of doing it for maybe a mm additional security.  Can't remember the end of the discussion on this topic at freevps discord but someone in the same discussion came up with another suggestion, also around the same lines but more secure than 2FA.

But yes, for now 2FA helps one avoid captchas and being blocked easily. Security against security admin setup more than security against hackers. Confused

For forum i prefer a pc , both desktop and laptop is a pc . Theyrun the same kind of operating system . Same standard mbr boot record and x86 archtitecture and they use mouse and keyboard to operate . Typing o physical keyboard like what almost all pc use is much better than using virtual keyboard on smartphone

But smartphone have advantage of more portability so you can use forum on the go

Desktop, Unfortunately the day before yesterday (Monday) due to electricity fault my PC's processor died. It was worst PC core 2 due but i had to reinstall Windows for new PC (cousin's PC) twice. Which i hate the most it take too much time and most important we've to install everything even some websites password i don't remember i just keep them save so now i've to reset them.

I still have core 2 duo which is my cousin's PC but it's better then previous it's 3.00 GHz and DDR3 2GB ram. I'll upgrade ram soon. I always think whenever i can i'll buy only once which i never replace but situation was really bad i had to buy it from cousin but thankfully it's upgradeable.

Anyway past 2 days was my worst day i was freaking angry.

I'm with you on this one. We've been having electricity issues here in South Africa too. The load shedding is OK - somehow my computer seems OK with an overall planned shut down of the service, but it's when everything goes down because of a fault that it has a bad effect on my desktop computer. So when I read your post it makes me very worried - that would be my worst nightmare. You're right, reinstalling Windows isn't easy. And then loading all of the backup again - I doubt I'd be able to reload my MS-Office again. Maybe you should think of getting a UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply)? Like they can be cheap to expensive depending on the time, but if there is a fault, you at least have a chance to power down your desktop.

Must say I'm quite surprised with the poll results. Desktop/Laptop is winning for now. Cool

i recently started doing everything or almost everything from my cheapo smartphone. quite ok i would say. just hope i manage to keep it away at arms length always and keep myself from staring at it from real close (which i forget at times and bring it like at 10 inch away from my eyes. but i can comfortably see and read the small letters from double or triple that distance..must not do it). staring and focusing your eyes to points so close to your eyes reduces the ability to focus clearly on points at the other end. that is on points really long way away from our eyes. bad bad bad.

i think 12-15 inch is the best. also i keep running an alarm to remind me to look away every 20 min or so.

so yea. i like the portability it affords. using smart phones for a lot of work.
Sincere Thanks to VirMach for my VPS9. Also many thanks to Shadow Hosting and cubedata for the experiences I had with their VPSs.

your password probably still exist in the hard drive of your broken pc why not plug it to your new pc , if the hard drive isnt the fault your data probably still fine

You should upgrade the ram because 2gb is too small even 4gb is small by today standard . If your old pc is using the same ddr3 maybe you can salvage it  . Last time i use 2gb of ram i can only run a few chrome tab before it start slow down extremely . The cpu is good enough for just surfing the web

Also i rarely find broken cpu most of the time i see a broken computer is the ram , motherboard or hard drive sometime graphics card

And lastly for seeing other problem i see that it mostly caused by low quality psu . Low quality psu cannot filter unstable and dirty electricity correctly so if the electricity is unstable it probably can give incorrect voltage and probably fry some part . I reccomend getting a stabilizer if your place electricity is dirty to prevent this kind of problem

+1 for smartphones.
Yes, it depends actually, but I use smartphone almost every second. Yep, I can't leave my smartphone somewhere, I don't know why. Maybe I already addicted to smartphone lol.

When laptop available and I'm in good mood to use it, mostly I use it. But, when I don't, I use my smartphone.
Like in my session right now, I'm too lazy and don't really have good mood to open Post4VPS in smartphone, I use laptop to do it.
Also laptop has a pretty big screen, so it can fit my works on it.
Thanks to Limitless Hosting and Post4VPS for providing me excellent VPS 13!

@deanhills Well i don't need UPS all i need is stabilizer to stable electricity power.
@humanpuff69 Well i've reinstalled and reset all passwords already and yeah 2GB isn't enough. My old pc was very out dated it was using DDR2 if it was DDR3 then i already plugged it's ram on this PC. But i will order 4GB ram then it will be 6GB then after that my next goal is replace processor but first change hard drive if possible SSD because it really slow. Let's hope i can afford everything Big Grin

yeah i had stabilizer when we had our first powerful PC core i3 2nd generation in 2011. When my brother sold that PC and bought him a laptop and core 2 duo (previous one) we using it without any stabilizer and guess what it's never fail even in our home own it faced huge electricity issues even daily but never fail.

On this pc after i installed new Windows accidentally i turned off wrong switch of the board and it shut down directly when i start it guess what windows corrupted i was like What the f*** i just installed it about 10min ago.
My previous pc was like it's acclimatized to electricity faults Tongue

I have so many goals for 2019 I wish i can fulfill all my dreams and i wish all of you have you have a great year.

Desktop for everyday work and gaming. Laptop for working for a short amount of time. Smartphone for everything else. Forum runs on everything and discord on phone and desktop.

I don't know how you can navigate this site using mobile, Forum is always better when using PC or Laptop. Mobile experience with forum have been horrible for me except the modern solutions like discouse/flarum etc..
No one knows what the future holds, that's why its potential is infinite
