what is your oppinion on discord resellers
#1
Hey folks,

lately i see a lot of discord only hosts and i have been staff in one that became a web based too but did discord advertising as main.
i barely trust these sort of deals as you do not sign a "contract" so feeling. discord messages can be removed and does not generate automatic invoices to prove you bough any service with them on that part. you do send them money but they can easy tell it was paid for something else that did not came with any service.
what do you guys think?.
serious intrested.

greetings,
Perry

Discord selling seems good for sellers, ofcourse not for customers. If I am right thinking Discord is not giving an actual identity. That means scammers can do fraudulent marketing, better to stay away or take that as only a seriousless business.

Thank you  Sweet

Honestly hosts using discord for reselling is alright in my opinion, It allows community to talk to each other, solve stuff, and easily create tickets if need be, some users might suggest that it shows that the company is not trusted, imo thats not the case as I've seen several large hosts using discord as their main form of contact alongside a website. Buying software such as WHMCS is actually quite heavy, and though it might show the host is low on budget, that's usually not the case. When using WHMCS, you also need to train the staff how to make full use of it, maentenance it regularly install updates etc, all this is reduced by making it discord - only.
Thanks to ShadowHosting and Post4VPS for my VPS 5!

I think it would be better to use Slack, than use Discord since Discord is geared toward communities more asin Slack is for more business stuff. You can also host your own slack-like instance like Rocket.Chat and use it instead if you want your data to stay in your own servers.
No one knows what the future holds, that's why its potential is infinite
