The Last Movie You Watched
S Storm - a movie I just watched yesterday on Netflix. It is a Chinese movie about a agency that investigates corruption in sports and bets. It was okish?! Had to watch it in Cantonese with subtitles though as there was no translation. Sometimes the scenes switch way to fast to be able to read what was said as the subtitles disappeared in less than a second after they appeared. So not really much enjoyable.

WOW! On a side note, how many languages can you read and speak? That's amazing!

Last movie I watched was on TV The Foreigner (2017) with a much older than I'm used to Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan. It's a really great action packed movie though, and I've always liked action movies with an Irish IRA story line in it. This one in particular doesn't disappoint. Score it 8/10.

@deanhills

Sorry, I think there is a misunderstanding here. I don't understand, can't read or speak the Cantonese language. I was merely watching the movie with German subtitles and Cantonese audio as there was absolutely no other audio translation/language available.

I understand, read and speak German, English and Russian.

Got it - apologies HR. I must have misunderstood. However still impressive though. Cool

I do this with Turkish series. Although they've been dubbing them into English lately, but after all of the years I've developed a liking for the audio to be Turkish and reading the captions in English. I'd have hoped that the Turkish would have rubbed off on me, like they say you can learn a new language that way, but that's never happened to me. Lately the dubbing has been nice too, as I've discovered how rich and also socially welcoming the Turkish vocabulary is. Like they don't only say "mother" but "my beautiful mother". Or add blessings in their greetings. Like I guess every language has its own special culture. Probably should take some lessons but am very lazy.

I'm going off topic here - sorry.

I saw two movies last night on TV.  A golden oldie Firewall (2006) with Harrison Ford and a more recent movie Black Sea (2014) with Jude Law in the lead role.

I'm a great fan of Harrison Ford and his acting in Firewall was outstanding.  What really impressed me is how well he acted the role of an older tech specialist and clumsy in defending himself against his abductor/attackers.  Guess most people are familiar with the movie as it's grown into a classic of sorts.  A really interesting plot to rob a bank by abducting the family of the IT Director (Harrison Ford).  Then the plot fails and the IT Director has to come up with an alternative plot to provide the abductors of his family with the money they wanted. And how he managed to reverse everything out in the end. Nice ending too.  Give it 8/10.

The next movie - Black Sea - disappointed a little.  Jude Law just didn't look realistic in the role for me - like he failed to carry the role of a Russian and his accent didn't work for me. He didn't look rough enough for me. An interesting plot though search for Nazi treasure trove consisting of gold at the bottom of the Black Sea.  I score the move 6/10.

Heart LOVE FOR ALL  HATRED FOR NONE Heart
I saw the great movie of Aamir Khan named Thare Zameen Par along with my students, they liked the movie and they were crying with happiness at the end, actually that was not the first time I saw it, I saw this movie several times, but always I had tears in my eyes, as a teacher and trainer, I always tried to understand my students and direct them through their own suitable ways, still I am trying to improve myself, so I am very much happy to see the movie once again, a must watch movie.

Thank you  Sweet

The last movie that I watched was The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, which was directed by Terry Gilliam. Terry Gilliam was with Monty Python and has done such movies as Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. The movie is excellent and has a bunch of cheesy special effects and over-the-top acting.

Bladerunner, Its a pretty awesome movie. Heard it inspired cyberpunk 2077 - a new upcoming game from the creators of witcher 3 which I am really looking forward to playing.
No one knows what the future holds, that's why its potential is infinite
Ebola Syndrom (HK) which is even more crazy than The Untold Story. Both movies of course directed by the same director and with the same main actor plus the well played craziness. Found a liking in such movies even though many would consider them Trash (film genre for cheap and bad movies) probably.
