Deep web is mostly associated with anonymity. A lot of whistleblowers, journalists, and witnesses of crimes use it to exchange information. Why? It's hard to trace them if they're using onion routing.
The hard to trace part is also the reason people doing illegal things flocked in there.

I wouldn't really advise on checking the deep web out. But if you're knowledgeable enough, it's ok

well yes, Dark web is a creepy place but deep web is a different story, basically the tor network is not something made by some hackers just want to stay anonymous it is developed by US Navi and in today's world it is used my journalist/armed forces/people who are too much concerned about their anonymity besides the bad guys, their are more good usages then the bad ones that's is way the project is supported by the US government till date .
