i used many code editors but my fav is Sublime test 2/3 because i love its interface,,notepad ++ is quite good editor but i don't like its colour scheme that much.
In the terms of IDE i love Dreamweaver and NetBeans, NetBeans is free so everyone can use it.

I like Sublime Text too, it has a pretty neat interface.

Sorry to be bugging everyone about Brackets, but I strongly recommend that you try Brackets (and see if it's better then Dreamweaver).
If you don't like that you might wanna give Atom a try (it's made by GitHub).

Mine favorite is also Sublime text 2.
I tried Brackets it is pretty much neat and clean design, i like it but still my favorite is Sublime text 2

Yeah, Sublime Text is a really good program too.
I suppose most people order like this:
Sublime Text > Brackets/Dreamweaver > Dreamweaver/Brackets > NetBeans IDE > NotePad++ > Notepad.
Something like that??

Sublime Text's biggest advantage is it's extensibility and the plugin ecosystem available for it.

My favourite editor has always been and is Notepad ++. It is a really great editor loaded with features.

On Linux CLI I use nano, on Linux GUI I use Geany, on Windows I use the default Notepad or Notepad++.

the best text editor for me it was "Brackets". it have modern style and its similar like sublime, but actually notepad can do anything
