.forum domains are listed available in NameCheap and a few other registrars.

Quote:Why .FORUM ?

Forums are one of the top ways Internet users spend their time online, and is one of the oldest forms of communication, both on the Internet, and in society. .FORUM provides an easily identifiable TLD for forums of all varieties, all over the world, making it a dynamic option for forums looking to secure interesting and unique domain names. .FORUM may be registered by any individual, group, or business, for any purpose, so it’s accessible to a wide group of users.

Well, if it's only $15 a year it's cheap, I will avail one when it's available.

I don't think .com, .net, .org are any different because there are just domain tlds. These all can do better in SEO and SERP. It depends upon what you want to start your domain with. People generally go with .com because it's widely used and word of mouth.

.COM and .ORG are widely used. They are just shortenings for Commercial and Organisation.

I think .com is more used by companies for commercial purpose and it is great to have one, .org stays for organisations, .net for network. Between more people at ancient times liked to buy .com tlds, still many do see this as the best tld to make users remember the name. Even people who are not aware of domains can understand .com is some address of a website, they may feel hard to remember other extensions.

It seems that .net is used quite often as well even if it's not for networks, it's just used for general purposes, like .com.  There's so many TLDs out there to choose nowadays that if your selecting one from the list, it'll make your head spin!

You're right about .net - I have a personal preference for it too, and I can see it in the special deals.  .net is more popular and also more expensive at the moment than .com.  .com as cheaper deals.

I personally prefer .club too for a Forum.  It just has a nicer ring to it than a Forum.
