Both of those have many merits and demerits. so it's not a good way to compare them. Android are a open source platform. but iOS isn't, one of the hatred thing of iOS is it is not simply connect to any other phone else iOS. and even with PC. Upgrades Not change basic themes and styles. all are same from day first. same interface. no back button. this will cause battery drain.

For customization go with android
For security go with ios

I like Android more because the Google Play offers more apps than the Apple App Store. Clearly, for app selection, Android is a bit better than iOS
In addition, Android lets users change the phone's battery and expand its storage capacity easily. For iPhones, it is more difficult to do that upgrade.

The good thing about Android right now is Google selling flagships directly. Pixel phones are a good alternative to Galaxy S8.
It is also good to have a flagship with stock Android.

@maroon93 you can also costumize IOS when you jailbreak it and install Cydia.

maybe we can but, if we use ios 10 with new update and now apple has stopped allowing users to downgrade to lower OS versions susceptible to jailbreaking. i think is will be very difficult to do

There were some .SSH keys or something similar to that with old Apple devices. They stopped using that signature after iPhone 4S. It is no longer possible to downgrade if you upgrade from now on, unless they are signing it!

I am using android.Android has become more polished over time, while iOS became more flexible.We can use more functional apps in android.While iOS holds the pedestal for good looking apps. iphone is too expensive. Apple doesn't let you tinker with the OS in any meaningful way, and doesn't let you install apps without using the App Store.It does not permit third-party app stores, and has stringent measures to prevent malicious apps from entering the app store.So android has become appealing target for malware makers.

I think it is better to go with Apple since the apps are malware free. Android attracts a lot of hackers which isn't good in this case.

I prefer Android because it can be in Jainbreak and can be in ubuntu Linux Installation. very easy To jailbreak On Smartphone With Old version of Karnel! but I recommend sticking to update Android version to avoid Hacker attacks
