Can you please share a link to your current text editor? Thank you so much! RE: Which is the best text editor ? - deanhills - 03-17-2018 When I'm with cPanel, the File Manager in cPanel has a really great text editor. What's particularly great for me is that one doesn't get invisible little bugs that creep in sometimes when one uploads a page that was created in a third party text editor, through FileZilla. If I'm working with my VPS and don't have cPanel available, I work with NotePad ++ and FileZilla. I don't go for big edits usually. Mostly I use NotePad++ for creating php or similar files from scratch or to do minor edits. RE: Which is the best text editor ? - humanpuff69 - 03-18-2018 For Windows : Notepad++ it is lightweight and it have all the feature i need and it just work but unfortunately it isnt available for linux For Linux : atom . it is heavy and ram consuming but it have more the feature than i need but i still use it despite the high resources and i use it for coding php file . before atom i use notepad++ clone called notepadqq . it worked flawlessly before but before i swtich to atom it crashed without any reason when i press backspace so i switch to atom and still using it now RE: Which is the best text editor ? - deanhills - 03-19-2018 Sublime Text seems to have a really great record. I tried it out a couple or more years ago and was really impressed with it. It has attractive coloring too. Brackets from Adobe is also nice, but not as good as Sublime Text. For Linux I like both Nano and Vim. My preference of the two is Nano as I seem to remember the commands better. |
