how does linux require a license like windows?
because that would be incorrect unless you aren't using a free linux distro like rhel, or suse enterprise linux.

you aren't planning to use something that is cpu intensive like a miner or something that wouldn't work with openvz are you?
if so I would recommend you don't even try because you will be instantly suspended on the spot if you do that and I will inform the admins/mods to take action on you for it. CubeData's nodes are not for mining or anything cpu intensive as it specifically states "fair share fair use" cpu policy which basically means don't cause problems for other vm's on the nodes as if they cannot use their "fair share" of their cpu "cores" you are by definition violating that policy and would be considered doing "resource abuse" which is prohibited by most if not all vps providers anyway and they don't usually give you any chance afterwards except the select few that are "nice" but even they have a breaking point of "enough is enough" though.
that is covered in our TOS/AUP and you should read it because it outlines everything including what not to do and what is allowed & isn't allowed.

well that is not why im want a kvm . openvz forbid mining too by the way and almost NO PROVIDER in this world that is giving full cpu resource except vds and dedicated . the reason is because i want to run docker and i want to know the core count because i want to run a game server (no resource intense) and get the expected performance

i also will run linux . so no licsense required

RE: 25th Giveaway - tryp4vps - 10-06-2017

Nice giveaway. Smile A bit surprise someone gave up his/her VPS 4 last month.

I guess many users will compete for this VPS 4 this time.

Good luck to everyone going to apply for it.

what game server will you be running? and why would a game server require a specific core count though?

be specific it helps to determine what you want to run will be allowed or not.

doesn't that kinda sound like "reselling" or "sub-leasing" the vps which violates the terms here?
because if they was running their own personal game server that is one thing them trying to operate a post2host game server service on it is another and would cross the line of "sub-leasing" and/or reselling it then which as said would violate the terms here.

Rules are about giving the ssh access to third party.
About reselling game servers is following the providers rules and allowance.

So if you don't allow gameservers on your network please pm so I note this on the list

Congratulations post4vps users for the new giveaway and I hope everyone get the VPS he wants. I just wanted to ask a question, does all KVM VPSes support Windows or not and which one in this giveaway support Windows.

Depends on providers. I guess like many out there you want a Windows KVM which let you run the trial version ? Most providers let you do it but some don't let you do this. Here,

VPS1 - It's a KVM Server but Host4Host doesn't allow you to run Windows it in. Windows is only allowed in their paid package.

VPS8 - In this CubeData ask you to provide your own Windows License. He/They don't allow you to run trial version.

Other Xen / KVM sponsors here fine with it. So before you apply for a vps make sure the sponsor is fine with it.

Thank you for information, what about VPS 3 and VPS 6? Do they support Windows with trial version or what?
