hi friends,
today i read an alarming proposal that the maintainers of 3.18.y branch may just abandon it and move forward. most of our android handsets are on it. even many new ones coming out with android 9 pie. There are some newer handsets i hear which are starting to move on to 4.
here is the link to the news,

just note how many changes they are still pushing each update. quite a few relevant to our android arm platform too.
i always keep my kernel and security patches updated. what about you? do you consider it important ? whats your kernel version ?

Sincere Thanks to VirMach for my VPS9. Also many thanks to Shadow Hosting and cubedata for the experiences I had with their VPSs.
