Does anyone here tried emailing the privacy email? I was thinking if these privacy is really working or I'ts just only a masking? Though even in WHOIS it shows [email protected] when you tried to send an email to that If I'm not mistaken it will still be sent to your email, though they can't actually see your real email.

Ah.Thanks for sharing these sites with us.I don't know why should we hide the information.But we Paki's have alternate methods. We provide wrong information .
Last night i searched a domain whois and took his contact.When i tried to call they respond " Number not in use " when i rechecked the contact and it was just 123456789 with country code. lol.

That's not a good idea either. If you provide wrong details and if someone proves it then Domain registrar has the right to take that domain back from you. That's why many registrars send you mail time to time asking you to check your contact information in WHOIS. In basic if the given phone number not working or email is fake then anyone can complain about this to ICANN or the domain registrar. So you should never do it.

One of the biggest problem with Whois Privacy is sometimes you don't receive important mail from others. Good example is I have seen this happens in copyright problems. Someone send u a warning mail about something you used and you never receive it. If the person sue you then you would be in a big trouble. Court don't take excuses like I didn't receive it because I was using WHOIS privacy.  What they say is your Domain so your Responsibility. It's quite rare the chances something like that happen but still thats how it works.

Further to Rudra's list of things, if you don't make your Domain Registration private, then your personal details including name, address and phone number gets listed on the Domain Registry WhoIs.  Everyone can get access to the registry and skim all your personal info from that list.  Next thing you get spammed, scammed, and a target for all kinds of things you don't want to happen to you. Better to get your Registrar to use his public address to cover your domain so if any legal person needs to get hold of you, they will do so through the Registrar of your Domain.

As an example you can check the Domain Registry below and see whether your domain is listed in it.  Then check the information it lists about you.  That is the information that every one else can get who uses the registry:

Purpose of this thread was to see where you can get this domain "privacy" for free.  Most domain registrars offer it these days, not all though.  Domain Silo has as a matter of its marketing principle that they offer domain privacy with all of their domains.

Cloudflare does put a layer between you and evil doers, but if someone wants to target you and your domain, any person can find your personal information from your domain, if your domain is a public domain with your personal info listed with the domain registrar. In other words if you haven't got private ownership. Better to see whether you can get your personal information of your domain to be held privately by your domain registrar when you register for a domain. These days most registrars offer the private ownership for free.
