I suppose they just applied hashing to password. This practice is quite normal for most service providers.

Normally generic information such as addresses, names, company names etc are considered less important and do not needed to be hashed.

True. But this stuff is easily preventable. Personally, I think those accounts deserve to be banned. If you run a Wordpress site or any CMS then it's your responsibility to keep it upgraded and take backups. That's how it works and There are no other ways to prevent human errors if they ignore those. Always have to research before using a Theme or plugin. But most people are too lazy to even make a proper password. Smile
